Your looking for Afan Valley Bike Hire
First we have a brew and a biscuit and fill in a registration form and start the course proper at 09.00. This is how the course pans out after a welcome from me, Paul Peet and a brief on Health and Safety the floor is handed over to the Senior Instructor for the course. He will initially ask all students to introduce themselves each one taking the floor in turn, this done we pass on to the first module of the course.
Information on the various course modules can be found on the MIAS pages and you may link to them over on the right of this page. We break for a coffee around 10.30 then connect again for 10.45. Around this time we will take our first steps outside so lets hope its dry. We will run through the pre-ride checks on your bike you will also fill in a report form on the serviceability of your bike listing any faults, faults which may stop you riding it if the bike serviceability infringes our H&S policy. The moral is service it before you come or arrange to rent a bike from our fleet.
This done we are back inside looking at your bag of tricks. The things that you would be carrying when escorting a ride. You will list all the components of your kit and we will discuss why we carry particular items. Read about day 2. Click here to Read page 2 of this report
The course is interactive and informal, students add their input.
With this sort of pedigree and riding experience amongst our Instructors it’s no wonder that so many organizations and individuals are beating our door down for training.
